KP Officers Set for Special Security Allowance

The federal government has declared 26 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts “terror-affected”, making PAS and PSP officers posted there eligible for a special security allowance from July 1, 2026. The allowance will equal 250 per cent of running basic pay and be paid retrospectively. Swabi and Hazara districts are excluded. FBISE announces annual exam results for 2026

The HSSC-II pass rate reached 85.95%, while HSSC-I stood at 65.31%. Army deployment authorised for Rawalpindi security

RAWALPINDI: The federal government has authorised the deployment of Pakistan Army personnel in Rawalpindi for six months to perform “sensitive security duties”, according to an Interior Ministry order dated Aug 21. The decision followed a request from the Punjab Home Department and was made under Article 245 of the Constitution. The National Assembly on Thursday passed by majority vote the Defence Forces Act 2026, and the National Command Authority (Amendment) Bill, following their approval by the federal cabinet earlier.
