Pakistan seeks fresh LNG cargo after tender setbacks

Pakistan Liquefied Natural Gas Limited has invited international companies to bid for an LNG cargo scheduled for delivery from September 12 to 16, following two cancelled tenders. Bids must be submitted and will be opened on September 8. The move comes after Pakistan recently secured a record-priced spot LNG cargo at $21.88 per MMBtu. Bangladesh Moves Closer to Major Fighter Jet Deal

Bangladesh has moved closer to acquiring Chinese J-10 fighter jets, with a draft procurement proposal submitted for final approval, according to reports. The package also includes Chinese attack and VIP transport helicopters and drones. The manufacturing licences of three auto companies have been suspended in Pakistan over failure to achieve the export targets. The Ministry of Industries and Production suspended manufacturing licences of three car and auto part makers over different genres of violations. The auto firms did not increase the local production of the cars, whereas, they also failed to meet 2% export targets, said sources, adding that the car makers are bound to produce vehicles and spare parts locally.
