Corrections Policy

Pakistan Times Today believes that credibility is sustained by promptly admitting and transparently rectifying any factual error that makes it to print or digital broadcast.

1. Prompt & Unambiguous Rectification

When a factual error is verified, we correct the article as swiftly as possible. We do not quietly overwrite history ("stealth editing").

Significant corrections are accompanied by an explicit editorial footnote at the conclusion of the article, specifying the exact nature of the error, the correct information, and the timestamp of when the correction was made.

2. Categories of Editorial Updates

Correction Note

Appended when a substantive factual error was published (e.g. incorrect monetary figure, misidentified public figure, or erroneous quote).

Clarification Note

Appended when the original text was factually truthful but potentially open to misunderstanding or lacking critical context.

3. How to Submit a Correction Request

Readers, subjects of reporting, and organizations who believe an article contains a factual error are encouraged to contact our Corrections Desk:

  • Include the specific article title and permanent URL.
  • Identify the sentence or paragraph containing the claimed error.
  • Provide verifiable documentation or public records that support the correction.
