UK charity Medical Aid for Palestinians called for the world not to “normalize” the ongoing relentless Israeli military attacks on civilians and healthcare infrastructure in Gaza after the overall death toll passed 40,000. “Urgent action is needed right now to safeguard innocent lives and allow the health system to recover as soon as possible,” the charity said. “Israel’s complete siege must be lifted, arms transfers to Israel must be halted to prevent their use in violations of international law and an immediate ceasefire must be brokered,” it added.
