NEW YORK: Bitcoin and global stocks recovered some recent losses on Friday as investors assessed US efforts to ease long-term borrowing costs. Bond yields remained steady while oil prices rose amid a US-Iran deadlock over reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Bitcoin surged more than 6% to around $77,188, its highest level since May, supported by increased liquidity and Donald Trump’s push for crypto legislation. Investors, however, remained concerned about inflation and rising government debt.
