The UN chief would take part in a virtual meeting to discuss the situation in Sudan on Thursday with Arab League and African Union Commission representatives. UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres would continue today to “be fully engaged, making phone calls, trying to secure a 24-hour ceasefire, which will enable a much-needed reprieve to all affected civilians in Khartoum”.
