We will not forgive those behind attack on Chinese teachers: Bilawal Bhutto

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Saturday that the entire Pakistani country stands in solidarity with the Chinese families who have been harmed by the incident at Karachi University, and that those responsible will not be pardoned. The foreign minister was addressing at a Foreign Office memorial service for the Chinese nationals killed in a suicide assault at the KU's Confucius Institute last month. A car explosion on the campus of the University of Karachi killed four persons, including three Chinese nationals, and injured four more.  

PTI govt. threatens Bilawal Bhutto of martial law a day before no-confidence vote

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari claimed on Thursday that the PTI-led government had threatened him with martial law if the PDM did not agree to immediate elections in the country just a day before the no-confidence vote against then-Prime Minister Imran Khan. Bilawal Bhutto stated the threatening message was sent to him by a PTI minister during a National Assembly session today. The foreign minister, although criticising the previous government, stated that the new coalition government believed in democracy and fair elections.    

Nadeem Afzal Chan joins PPP

On Sunday, it emerged that Nadeem Afzal Chan, a former special assistant to the prime minister and a senior PTI leader, announced to rejoin the PPP. He stated that his decision to join the ruling party was "wrong". Reportedly, he had resigned as the prime minister's spokesperson in January last year, over the delay in the visit of PTI leaders to Quetta’s Western Bypass where the families of the Machh massacre victims were staging a sit-in, demanding justice.

PPP to challenge ‘harsh’ PECA ordinance: Yousaf Raza Gillani

Islamabad: On Monday, leader of Opposition in Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani said that his party would challenge the "harsh" Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) law amendments in the court. Talking to journalists in Islamabad, Gillani said that the passage of the amendments was an "attempt to silence the Opposition and the media as [the government] is scared"."They want to harass media, civil society, and social media activists," he added saying that "those who have made the law will be the first to face it".

PPP leader Yousaf Raza Gillani resigns

Islamabad: PPP leader and former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani stepped down as the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate. His decision came after his absence led to the passage of the State Bank (Amendment) Bill, 2021, in the Upper House of the Parliament. "I have submitted my resignation to my party; I do not want to to be the Opposition leader anymore," Gillani said while addressing the Senate.

Asif Ali Zardari rejects PPP-PDM alliance

Islamabad: PPP co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari rejected the likelihood of becoming a part of the anti-government alliance, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). The former president also added that since the very first day, he was against this "incompetent government". "The government is "unable to take any step for the betterment of people, and now it has been proved by history too," he stated.

“PPP takes revenge on people of Sindh”: Fawad Chaudhry

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry Sunday took a jibe at the Sindh government and said, "PPP is taking revenge from the people of the province." He further briefed that Sindh was the only province where the provincial govt's policies barred the public from health cards. He also said that PM Imran Khan had instructed the attorney general to ensure Nawaz's return to the country.

PPP paralyses city to protest gas outages

The Pakistan People Party (PPP) conducted protest demonstrations in every district of Karachi on Friday to protest the country's continuing gas shortages, joblessness, increasing inflation, and worsening economic situation. The large number of people holding banners and placards in their hands chanted slogans against the PTI government and Prime Minister Imran Khan. "Go Niazi go. Muk gia tera show." Many people had brought the inflated sui gas bills that were set on fire.  

Opposition to challenge electoral reforms in Supreme Court

On Wednesday, After a chaotic joint session of parliament, the opposite explicitly disagreed with the notion of electronic voting and announced to challenge the writ of govt in the Supreme Court. During the session, the government authorized amendments to the Elections Act, 2017, and many other bills. "The entire nation must be notified that the government did not win but lost during the joint session today," Bilawal Bhutto called down the govt.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman have a reconciliation meeting

On Friday, it emerged that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman had a meeting to cover the gulf between both sides. He said that the reciprocal parliamentary action on accountability laws and electronic voting machines (EVMs) could yield further successes for the opposition. In April, PPP left the PDM in the wake of a show-cause notice being handed out to it for appointing Yousuf Raza Gilani as the opposition leader in the Senate.

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari shares first picture of her son

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, daughter of former President Asif Ali Zardari and sister of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, posted the first photo of her son on Instagram. Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari recently posted a photo of her kid, 'Mir Hakim Mehmood Chaudhry,' on Instagram, where a great number of fans are expressing their support for the newborn. Bakhtawar commented that the photo was shot when Hakim was one week old. Bakhtawar named her kid Mir after her late maternal uncle and Hakim after her paternal grandfather, as she revealed on Instagram.  

Govt. won’t survive if no trust motion moved: Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Wednesday that during the PPP's time in office, decisions about the country were made by ordinary people. "The country's workers, farmers, and every common man are looking to the PPP right now," Bilawal said in a speech to PPP workers in Larkana. The PPP, according to Bilawal, "took people out of their miseries, while the current government is giving them deeper issues." “If a no-confidence resolution is filed against the present administration in the legislatures, it will not be able to survive,” the PPP chairman stated.  

PPP announces protest against inflation and unemployment

The PPP (Pakistan People’s Party) also declared a nationwide protest. Shazia Murree, the PPP's Central Secretary for Information, has stated that there would be widespread rallies against inflation on October 29. Jails will stage historic demonstrations in response to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto's directions. She also stated that unemployment is a terrible act, and that the PPP leadership is punished for being the poor's defender where the Prime Minister borrows money by mortgaging the country. People are all in support of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari because he would never let the people down, and the PPP leadership will preserve the country and its people from hardship.

PPP rally to be held at Karachi

The Pakistan People's Party, the province's ruling party, will organise a rally on October 17 in Karachi's Bagh-e-Jinnah to honour party activists and supporters murdered in a bombing at former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's homecoming rally near Karsaz on October 18, 2007. He claimed that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other key party leaders will speak to the public.

Bakhtawar Bhutto expresses gratitude for all the love for her baby boy

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari came to Twitter on Wednesday morning to express her gratitude for everyone's love for her newborn baby boy. On October 10, the daughter of late Benazir Bhutto and former President Asif Ali Zardari announced the birth of her first child. She and her husband, Mahmood Choudhry, have not yet disclosed the baby's name.

PTI, PPP retain seats in Kashmir by-elections

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) ensured that no surprises occurred in the Kashmir by-elections held yesterday (Sunday), as both parties kept their seats in Mirpur and Kotli. By-elections were conducted for two Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly constituencies: Mirpur LA-3 and LA-12 Kotli-V. The PTI won in Mirpur LA-3 and Mirpur-III, whereas the PPP was successful in LA-12 Kotli-V. Army troops were stationed at polling sites to guarantee that the voting process was not disrupted. Voting began at 8:00 a.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m.

PPP leader killed outside court

Malik Ashfaq Khan, the PPP district president and, a former National Assembly candidate, was killed in Bannu. Malik Ashfaq Khan was fatally shot outside the district court. The event was strongly criticized by PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other leaders. The accused has been charged and an investigation has begun, according to the police. In a police complaint, the victim's child MPA Muhammad Akbar, son of Muhammad Ashfaq and resident of Mohalla Bank Bannu City, stated that he was there with his father outside the district court in front of the University Plaza. Saknay Mamand Khel opened fire, instantly murdering his father, Malik Ashfaq Khan. Hostility is believed to be the cause of enmity. The police have opened an inquiry and lodged a case.

Wajid Shamsul Hassan, former envoy to UK passed away

On Tuesday, Wajid Shamsul Hassan, former High Commissioner to the UK and PPP stalwart passed away. Bilawal bhutto Zardari, chairman PPP, took to twitter and wrote a heartfelt note to condole his demise. "Immense source of strength and guidance for me left us today", he wrote.

PMLN Leadership Working on Indian Agenda: Faisal Vawda

KARACHI, Oct 18 (APP): Federal Minister for Water Resources, Muhammad Faisal Vawda said that the PMLN Leadership was working on the Indian agenda and that’s why it is maligning the country’s institutions. PDM Leaders Gathered to Protect Corruption: Minister

LAHORE, Oct 17 (APP): Punjab Minister for Communication and Works Sardar Muhammad Asif Nakai said on Saturday the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)'s public gathering in Gujranwala was meant to protect its corruption and misdeeds.
