On Oct 14, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa remarked that the strategic cooperation and defence coalition is pertinent for stability of region, reported by ISPR. Gen Bajwa made these comments while introducing Chinese-origin High to Medium Air Defence System (HIMDAS), HQ-9/P, into the Pakistan Army Air Defence system. The induction of high-tech systems would make Pakistan’s air defence “unfathomable in the emerging danger scenario,” he also added.
