UN Chief Guterres Arrives in Islamabad for Key Pakistan Talks

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has arrived in Islamabad for an official visit focused on Pakistan’s engagement with the United Nations, regional and international developments, and the country’s efforts in peace, security and disaster preparedness. Guterres is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. China urges respect for sovereignty of Gulf states, Middle Eastern countries

China’s Vice President Han Zheng told the UN General Assembly on Saturday that “the world wants peace, not war,” urging respect for the sovereignty and security of Middle Eastern countries, including Gulf states. Mr Han called for global trade and supply chains to remain “stable and unimpeded” as he warned against protectionism. “Protectionism produces no winners,” he said adding, “Building walls, erecting barriers, decoupling, and cutting off supply chains disrupt global industrial and supply chains and harm the interests of all parties.” Read More…

Lebanon's PM warns of looming peacekeeping 'vacuum'

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called on the UN to “avert the vacuum” that could be left by the departure of peacekeeping troops. KP CM Defends Protest Ahead of PTI March
