Any attack on Makkah or Madinah is a ‘red line’, says Pakistan’s PM Sharif

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has told the UN General Assembly that any attack on the holy cities of Makkah or Madinah would be a “red line”. Saudi Arabia’s air defences destroyed a Houthi drone south of Makkah before it entered prohibited airspace over the holy city last week. Nauman Mahmood Takes Key Role in Defence Alliance

Pakistan Names First Makkah Defence Alliance Chief

Pakistan has appointed retired Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood as the first secretary general of the Makkah Defence Alliance involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. He will head the alliance’s secretariat in Riyadh for an initial three-year term. Sharif Family Wedding Plans Draw Attention

Mahnoor Safdar, daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is set to marry Azan Jabbar, son of industrialist Jabbar Khalid, on Saturday. Syrian government accuses PKK and SDF of war crimes in Tabqa

Damascus has accused the Kurdish-led groups the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) of war crimes, alleging executions were carried out in Tabqa before their fighters withdrew from the area. “The killings add to a long record of abuses against civilians in regions under their control,” the government was quoted as saying by the state-run SANA news agency. Illegal Israeli settlers storm Al Aqsa Mosque to celebrate Jewish holiday

Scores of illegal Israeli settlers stormed the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. Illegal settlers performed Talmudic rituals at the flashpoint site under the protection of Israeli police, according to an Anadolu correspondent on Monday. Cop martyred, six injured in Lakki Marwat suicide attack

At least one police personnel was martyred and six others injured in a suicide blast targeting a police mobile in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday. The suicide bomber, accompanied by his accomplice, was standing by the roadside and blew himself up as the police mobile drove past in the Bakhmal Ahmadzai area of Lakki Marwat, said the police.
