The Omicron variant of COVID-19 is dangerous, according to the World Health Organization, especially for those who have not been vaccinated against the virus.
According to the WHO, Omicron, which is more transmissible than the formerly dominant Delta type, is to blame for the global increase in infections.
Last week, the WHO reported more than 15 million infections, with millions more cases believed to have gone unreported.
