Hamas has welcomed an apparent softening of tone from US President Donald Trump on his proposal to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to make way for post-war reconstruction, urging him not to align with the vision of the “extreme Zionist right”. Mr Trump on Wednesday said that “nobody is expelling any Palestinians” from Gaza in response to a question during a meeting at the White House with Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin.
