South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday as the allies discussed delayed Korean investments in the United States and Seoul’s potential role in regional security. Cho outlined Seoul’s willingness to contribute to efforts protecting navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides also agreed to continue consultations on investment commitments and strategic cooperation.
