The armed wing of Hamas, the Qassam Brigades, has hit an Israeli Merkava tank with two Yassin 105 anti-armour missiles near a mosque in the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood in western Gaza City. Nazmi Muhanna, the head of the Palestinian General Authority for Borders and Crossings, says Israel has informed the body that the Israeli-controlled King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge will be closed starting on Wednesday until further notice in both directions, according to the Wafa news agency.
