The Taliban declared that the war in Afghanistan was over and announced that the group wants peace in the world. Taliban have taken control over the presidential palace in Kabul and US nationals departed. The spokesman for the Taliban’s political office, Mohammad Naeem said, “Today is a great day for the Afghan people and the mujahideen. They have witnessed the fruits of their efforts and their sacrifices for 20 years.”
