Marilia Mendonca, one of Brazil’s most prominent singers, was killed in a plane crash while on her way to a concert.
According to her press office, the 26-year-old Latin Grammy winner died along with her producer, her uncle, who also served as her adviser, and the plane’s pilot and co-pilot.
The plane took off from Mendonca’s hometown of Goiania and crashed shortly after landing in Caratinga on Friday afternoon, where she was due to perform later that day.
