Unicef condemned ‘horrific’ killing of three children in an Israeli strike on southern Lebanon. The children were reportedly playing outside their home in Umm Toot when the attack occurred. Residents said that the children were Syrian Kurds whose family worked in the village’s watermelon fields. Israel has not commented on the civilian deaths. Children “must be protected under IHL [International Humanitarian Law,” Unicef Lebanon wrote on X.
