Iran-US disagreements remain over Hormuz, sanctions and nuclear dossier

There is a long list of points of contention when it comes to the prospect of talks between Iran and the US. In addition to the Strait of Hormuz, talks with the Omani side were supposed to pave the way for the revival of talks between Tehran and Washington and the revival of the Islamabad MoU. There are also other issues, such as the naval blockade imposed by the Americans. On that, the Iranians are saying this is a precondition for the situation in the Strait of Hormuz to be settled diplomatically.
