Former Israeli PM Ehud Olmert has told Al Jazeera that he is against the new Israeli land rules easing illegal settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank. “I am opposed to the policy … of the government and senior members of the cabinet, particularly the most important allies of the Israeli prime minister, the messianic group of thugs,” he said. “I’m against it and fighting against it. I think the majority of Israelis are against it and we are absolutely unhappy, to put it mildly,” he added.
