Israelis protesting against the delivery of aid into Gaza have begun demonstrations in the port city of Ashdod after they were prevented from gathering at Israel’s Kerem Shalom border crossing. Port operations continue as normal, Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported, as dozens of demonstrators gathered. Parents of hostages held in Gaza led the protests, which prompted the army to declare the Kerem Shalom crossing a “closed military zone”.
