Israeli media outlet Haaretz is reporting that the father of one of the captives still held in Gaza has termed the reports circulating about ceasefire talks as causing him “stress and anxiety”. “The truth is that I can’t understand what’s happening now in the negotiations,” said Alon Nimrodi, whose 20-year-old son Tamir Nimrodi, a soldier, is still held captive. “If this talk is true, if my son is not American, we are simply lost. The Americans will be released and we are alone in the campaign – every man for himself,” he added.
