Sirens sounded across northern and central Israel on Tuesday morning, including Tel Aviv, following rocket fire from Lebanon, the Israeli army said. Local residents described “loud explosions” in Tel Aviv as they ran to bomb shelters. About 45 rockets were fired at central and northern Israel, the army said. Some were intercepted and others “fell in open areas”.
