Pakistan’s two biggest cities have got the dubious distinction of soaring to 2nd and 6th from the top in the most polluted cities of the world on the Air Quality Index (AQI). Karachi was measured to have 194 reading on the air pollution scale, while Lahore have an AQI reading of 168 with regard to hazardous particles in the air. It is to be mentioned here that AQI as high as 151-200 is considered unhealthy, while an AQI reading between 201 to 300 is more harmful and AQI rate over 300 mark is extremely hazardous.
