Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry dismissed the recent opening of an evacuation corridor to the south of the Gaza Strip by the Israeli military as “unimportant”. The corridor represents “the displacement of millions of people in violation of international law”, said Mr. Shoukry in Paris. “What Israel is doing goes way further than self-defense. It’s time to name things as they are,” said Mr. Shoukry.
