The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees said the region was at risk if the UNRWA “cannot continue to provide services” in Gaza. Philippe Lazzarini made the comments at a meeting in Riyadh with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan. “I leave Saudi Arabia confident that the UNRWA has a strong partner,” Mr Lazzarini said on X. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said it “reaffirmed the kingdom’s support” for the agency and “urged all donors to fulfill their responsibility in supporting humanitarian efforts” in Palestine.
