The US military conducted new air strikes on Yemen’s Houthi rebels, officials said on Friday. American forces destroyed four drone boats loaded with explosives and seven mobile anti-ship cruise missile launchers that were used to attack vessels in the Red Sea, the US military’s Central Command said. The strikes were carried out on Thursday. “They presented an imminent threat to US Navy ships and merchant vessels in the region,” US Centcom said.
