The UN office investigating Israeli accusations that 12 staff members at UNRWA were involved in the October 7 attacks closed one of the cases because Israel did not provide any supporting evidence, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric stated. Three other cases were suspended “as the information provided by Israel is not sufficient for OIOS to proceed with an investigation”. Eight staffers remain under investigation by the UN’s internal oversight body.
