TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has urged Muslim countries, especially Gulf states, to unite against what he described as their “real enemy”. In a message marking Islamic Unity Week, he called for greater cooperation, mutual defence and solidarity, warning that divisions benefit Islam’s adversaries. The message, posted on Telegram, accused the United States and other powers of pursuing colonial and hegemonic ambitions. He also criticised those contributing to divisions among Muslims, intentionally or otherwise.
