Turkish ‍Foreign ‍Minister Hakan Fidan stressed the need for talks to resolve regional tensions in a ‍call with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi. The Anadolu news agency reported that Fidan underscored the importance of negotiations to prevent escalation. Turkiye is also reportedly in touch with US officials amid Trump’s threats ‌to intervene militarily over Iran’s protests. Fidan earlier said that the demonstrations were “manipulated by Iran’s rivals from abroad”, naming an Israeli intelligence service. “Mossad doesn’t hide it. They are calling on the Iranian people to revolt against the regime through their own internet and Twitter accounts,” he noted.
