Prime Minister Imran Khan called Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to express Pakistan’s deep shame and anger over the tragic, abhorrent vigilante killing of Priyantha Diyawadana in Sialkot, and to assure them that those arrested would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Sri Lanka’s president and prime minister have previously expressed confidence in Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ability to bring the issue to a conclusion. “It is shocking to witness the extremist mob’s brutal and fatal attack on Priyantha Diyawadana in Pakistan. My heart breaks for his wife and family,” Sri Lankan President posted on Twitter.
