Lebanese border town condemns Israeli burning of hospital

The municipality of Houla in southern Lebanon accused Israeli forces of systematically destroying public facilities in border villages and highlighted the torching of a government hospital. Israeli soldiers also destroyed Houla’s official school and daycare centre previously. It called the latest incident – the burning of Mays al-Jabal’s government hospital – a “flagrant violation of the sanctity of public institutions”, state-run National News Agency reported. At least 2 Palestinians killed by Israeli gunfire in Khan Younis

The Nasser Medical Complex says two Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. Separately, al-Shifa Hospital said the death toll from Israeli attacks in the al-Kateeba area, west of Gaza City, has risen to four, including two children and a woman. Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has killed at least 1,318 people since a “ceasefire” came into effect in October 2025. Gaza City Strikes Raise Fresh Concerns Over Truce

JERUSALEM: Israeli airstrikes around Gaza City killed five people and wounded several others on Monday, according to Al-Shifa Hospital and rescuers. Two people died when a strike hit near a residential building, while three others were killed in a drone attack targeting a civilian car in Tel al-Hawa. Gaza’s civil defence confirmed the casualties. The initial inquiry report into the deadly fire at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) nursery said the hospital’s treatment and facilities fell below global standards, sources said on Saturday. The report, submitted to PM Sharif, also identified the causes of the incident and determined those responsible for the tragedy, they added. The report recommended immediate action against those held responsible for the incident, along with disciplinary proceedings against relevant Pims staff members who were absent when the fire broke out. Tragedy Strikes PIMS Newborn Amid Hospital Blaze

ISLAMABAD: A two-month-old boy was among 14 babies who died in Wednesday’s fire at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). The infant had remained unclaimed at the hospital since birth, where he was being cared for alongside other sick children.
