Teen Girl, Newborn Die After Alleged Sexual Assault

A 17-year-old girl and her newborn died at Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, months after she was allegedly gang-raped by her maternal cousin and two accomplices. Police arrested two suspects, while DNA results reportedly confirmed the prime suspect’s involvement. Police later amended the charges and removed the gang-rape provision, a move alleged to have favoured the suspects.
