The government on Saturday apologised to consumers over nighttime electricity loadshedding, blaming the disruption on delayed RLNG cargoes. The Power Division said temporary load management was carried out during peak hours after a significant generation shortfall caused by unavailable RLNG, while output from Mangla Dam also declined. Furnace oil-fired power plants were activated to help meet demand. Officials assured consumers that load management would be reduced as soon as the delayed RLNG supplies arrived.
