Bangladesh has moved closer to acquiring Chinese J-10 fighter jets, with a draft procurement proposal submitted for final approval, according to reports. The package also includes Chinese attack and VIP transport helicopters and drones. Adviser Zahedur Rahman said the purchases could proceed immediately if funding is allocated this fiscal year, otherwise they would shift to the next budget cycle. Bangladesh reportedly studied last year’s Pakistan-India conflict, including Pakistan’s use of J-10s and PL-15 missiles.
