Days after the first suspected instance of the new Covid-19 variant Omicron was discovered in Pakistan, the genome sequencing of the samples remains uncertain since the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) has failed to confirm the variant.
The health department sent samples of family members suspected of possessing the Omicron variant, as well as individuals who came into touch with them, for complete genome sequencing analysis on Thursday.
