Tariq Wazir Ali, Chairman of the Oil Marketing Association of Pakistan (OMAP), congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan and the government of Pakistan on Wednesday for taking the correct approach to setting petroleum product prices and issuing Price Differential Claim (PDC) and reversing course on PDC, as this timely action has averted a major setback and developing fuel shortage.

Chairman Tariq Wazir Ali stated in a statement that the worldwide cost of oil has been steadily rising, reaching around $83 per barrel of unrefined Brent as the global economy recovers from the Covid-19 lull.
