Russell Brand Faces Prison After Sexual Offence Convictions

British comedian Russell Brand has been convicted by a London court of raping one woman and sexually assaulting three others in offences committed between 2004 and 2009. He denied the charges, claiming the encounters were consensual. Brand was acquitted of two other rape charges and attempted indecent assault. The judge refused bail and scheduled sentencing for Monday. Police said investigations into two further alleged rapes remain ongoing.
