Medical teams in Gaza have moved south to continue vaccinating children against polio, with hopes they could reach up to 3,000 children by the end of the day. Dr Salah Al Farah, head of the Kuwaiti Medical Centre in Khan Younis, said the first day of the campaign in southern Gaza gave cause for optimism. “We have vaccinated more than 2,000 children so far and with the continued influx of people we may exceed 3,000 people by the end of the day,” he added.
