Islamabad: The appointment of Justice Ayesha Malik to the supreme court has been halted due to the majority’s disapproval. It was reported that Justice Qazi Faiz Issa could not give any opinion as he was abroad. In the Judicial Commission meeting, the majority voted against her appointment, only CJP Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Attorney General of Pakistan, and law minister supported her.
