AP reported Japan has extended the state of emergency due to coronavirus in Tokyo along with 18 other areas until the end of September. The current state of emergency was to end on Sunday but the voluntary regulations have proved to be ineffective due to severe public ignorance. PM Yoshihide Suga has requested the public to observe SOPs to return to ‘safe and prosperous daily lives’.
