Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant left for Washington on Sunday to meet senior US officials and discuss the war in Gaza and escalating tensions with Hezbollah. Mr Gallant said the meetings will be “critical” for events in Gaza. “The relationship with the US is more important than ever,” he said. “The meetings with the senior government officials are critical for the future of the war,” he added.
