Israel would repeal a disengagement law applying to the occupied West Bank, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant announced, encouraging Israeli settlers to return to northern areas of the territory. The law, which allowed settlers to return to settlements dismantled under the 2005 disengagement plan, previously only applied to the outpost of Homesh. Access to three other settlements, near Jenin, was forbidden. Settlers can now return to outposts across the entire northern West Bank.
