Far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir made his first visit to the Al Aqsa Mosque compound since Israel launched its war on Gaza , during which he slammed Norway, Spain and Ireland’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state. Mr Ben-Gvir, flanked by police, said in a video published on X that recognition “gives a prize to [Hamas] murderers and abusers”. Al Aqsa Mosque compound is a site considered holy by Muslims, Jews and Christians.
