CIA director William Burns has traveled to Qatar in another attempt to secure a Gaza truce deal before Ramadan. Mr Burns, who has led negotiation efforts by US President Joe Biden’s administration, was in Egypt on Wednesday but is not expected to travel to Israel, CNN reported. Hamas leaders and officials from Egypt, Qatar, and the US gathered in Cairo this week for more talks, but Israel has refused to send a delegation.
