The German football team was stuck in Edinburgh after a technical problem occurred in the plane carrying them home from a World Cup qualifier in Iceland. The plan was unexpectedly landed in Edinburgh and a replacement aircraft was sent to bring the Germans home. “Safety first. Safety stopover as a precaution in Edinburgh,” the German Football Association (DFB) tweeted.
