Venezuela summoned Iran’s ambassador on Tuesday to protest what it described as “contemptuous and inappropriate” remarks, despite the two countries’ longstanding alliance. However, videos circulating online appear to show Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi saying Iran is “not Venezuela” when referring to negotiations with the United States.
