The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) released a prediction of heavy rains from the 15th of August across Sindh province. PDMA cautioned concerned authorities to take precautionary measures to prevent heavy damage and loss of lives as a result of heavy downpours. On the 2nd of July Karachi received the first spell of monsoon rain.
