Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan issued notices to the Attorney General, Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Secretary Finance, and Secretary of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) over the lack of provision of funds for the upcoming Punjab elections. It pointed out that the federal government, as per the report of the Election Commission presented to the court, did not grant the funds which was a violation of court orders.
