According to Aaj News, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan was granted protective bail on Thursday in connection with lawsuits filed against the party’s recent long march on Islamabad.

Bail is set to expire on June 25. Khan had applied for bail at the Peshawar High Court, where he met with Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan.

Khan and his party were charged with turning aggressive and clashing with law enforcement agencies after calling off the lengthy march on March 26 due to concerns that the situation was becoming dangerous.
