Imran Khan and his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are pressuring the military to intervene and arrange early elections. The defence forces, on the other hand, appear to be adamant about being apolitical on this matter.

The strategies being utilised by a sizable number of Tehreek-e-Insaf social media supporters — recently dubbed “social media warriors” by Imran Khan — may, however, backfire, owing to the malicious campaign waged against the army and its chief.
